Abstract
During the last 20 years, clinker cooler techniques have changed tremendously regarding process requirements as well as mechanical design and control aspects. The main objectives are the optimal integration of the cooler into the pyro-process of the cement production line and the reduction of the overall production costs. The paper provides a detailed introduction of the new, unique features of the BMH Claudius Peters Grate Cooler, which have been newly developed, installed and are in operation
