Abstract
This paper presents a distributed generation system using polymer-electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs) that is suitable for residential use. This system can control the charging and discharging of the batteries and can restrict the power consumed by some equipment so that the generated energy can be used more efficiently. An efficient generation scheme for meeting the demand for household power and a stable control method for restricting the load power are proposed and verified in an experimental system using simulated PEFCs
