Abstract
A mathematical model for the aperture admittance along with an aperture matching technique are given for open-ended dielectric filled waveguides. The theories and practices are demonstrated as part of designing the so-called microstrip-like antenna (MLA). MLA is a new type of antenna recently developed at Delft University of Technology.
