  • Abstract
    Power allocation schemes for the block-fading Gaussian (BF-AWGN) channel with side-information at the transmitter and the receiver are considered. Several power allocation strategies are studied by evaluating the corresponding random coding error exponents. A very simple scheme (selective channel inversion) is shown to provide excellent performance and robustness to variations of the fading statistics
