Abstract
Detection algorithm for spatial modulation MIMO system was investigated. To deal with the constraint of the existing method, a modified detection algorithm based on normalized maximum ratio combination (NMRC) was proposed, which can be used in unconstrained channel. To further improve the performance, a new algorithm based on the antenna index list (AI-List) was also proposed. Analysis and simulation results show that NMRC detection can work efficiently with very low complexity, and AI-List scheme can achieve near optimum performance when the list number equals to half of the transmit antennas, what´s more its complexity is far less than the ML detection and only about 40% higher than NMRC.
