Abstract
We report here a new feature of the wave-foim distortion when a narrow pulse is transmitted on printed-circuit lines, which may be either of open structures or shielded ones. Such a pulse distortion is mainly caused by a new class of the dominant-mode power-leakage effect which appears on most of practical printed-circuit waveguides. The pulse distortion discussed here will have significant effects on the design of MICs and MMICs operating with at frequencies.
