Abstract :
Authentication is one of the important security properties in applications ranging from border security to consumer electronics. This paper presents an efficient mutual authentication scheme for remote systems, which provides two-factor user authentication. The scheme attains two interesting features such as avoids the possibility of many logged in users with the same login identity and eliminates the overhead of maintaining verifier table at remote server.
