To facilitate microturbine pluging and playing, every microturbine adopts peer control based on P/f and Q/V droop characteristics when the microgrid islands, which can assign load demands only based on the local measurements and maintain voltage and frequency at required range. The minimum and maximum output limits are enforced by adding function in P/f droop control for the safety of DC energy storage. In islanding microgrid, the load changes and even one microturbine output reaching the limits are analyzed. The simulation results show the control strategy and the active output limiter validity.
