Abstract
To investigate the optic radiation disruption in children ametropic, anisometropic and strabismic amblyopia. The fractional anisotropy (FA) values, average diffusion coefficient (DCavg) values and neural fiber tracts of optic radiations in ametropic, anisometropic and strabismic amblyopic groups and healthy group were measured and compared by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) with tractography (DTT). The FA values in bilateral optic radiations in three amblyopic groups were lower significantly than that in healthy group; while the difference of DCavg values in optic radiations between amblyopic groups and healthy group was insignificant. And the decreased neural fibers of the optic radiations in groups with ametropic, anisometropic and strabismic amblyopia were showed by DTT, which coincide with the reduced FA values in those amblyopic groups. In children ametropic, anisometropic and strabismic amblyopia, there are not only visual cortical deficit but also optic radiation disruption. They might affect each other´s development and result in the visual functional lesion of children abmlyopia.
