Abstract
The Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) radar mapping accuracy is significantly affected by errors in the baseline components. In this paper a baseline estimation method based on tide models is presented. Furthermore, the prediction of the estimated baseline parameters over terrain is considered. The underlying approach enables prediction of error biases. Different methods to correct residual height errors will be considered.
