Abstract
Many mechanisms of the bioeffects of microwave field can be understood on a molecular level by examining the macroscopic electric properties of the material. In particular the transmission of the high frequency energy occurs through the biological tissue by several mechanisms within range of the molecular structure. In this paper the results of experiments of chemical reactions carried out under microwave fields are analyzed and the experimental data are discussed in the light of the potential application of the "microwave" chemistry to the chemical technology and to protection aspects.
