Abstract
A simplified dynamic model of coal fired power plant is proposed in this paper for the dynamic frequency simulation. The model includes the boiler, pulverizing system and fuel regulation system. Simulations of three different systems under three different disturbances are made respectively. The simulation results and comparisons show that the throttle pressure´s effect should not be neglected and the effect of pulverizing system´s frequency characteristic is insignificant for small disturbance but should be taken into consideration for larger disturbances in power plant dynamic frequency studies.
