Abstract
In this paper the spectral domain approach (SDA) together with the technique known as singular value decomposition (SVD) is extended to the study of multiconductor and multilayer planar transmission lines. The simultaneous use of these powerful methods makes it possible to determine the propagation constant for the dominant and higher-order orthogonal modes. Comparison with previously published data and convergence tests are first performed to confirm the accuracy of our procedure. Numerical results for several configurations are presented.
