Time and frequency measurements unification in Russia a key role of national service for time and frequency

For more than 50 years history the National Service for Time and Frequency have proved ability to solve the most sophisticated problems in the field of time metrology and technology. It survived during revolutionary changes in economy and politics of Russia during the end of nineties. Today apart from traditional duties NSTF is strongly involved in different federal programs required time and frequency support. These are further GLONASS generation - first of all as monitoring stations for ephemeris/time data source for GLONASS control segment. Apart from it the above mentioned time laboratories are included into the list of federal reference stations for GLONASS/GPS differential navigation.
