Abstract :
This paper presents an accurate and computationally efficient analysis of coupled striplines of arbitrary dimensions using the Transverse Resonance Diffraction (TRD) technique. Results are presented for the first two higher order mode cutoff frequencies and are in excellent agreement with measured values. Coupling factors are also calculated for variations in the three main dimensional ratios and demonstrate improved accuracy over conventional numerical and analytical techniques.
