Abstract
The continuous increase of spatial data volumes available from many sources raises new challenges for their effective understanding. We propose an intelligent distributed geographic information service platform, which is a profitable infrastructure and has great significance in understanding spatial data. In order to accomplish more complex data mining tasks, simple services are linked together by BPEL language and become service chains. We do an experiment to verify the execution performance of EPEL-Service-Chain and the result of the experiment declares that the BPEL-Service-Chain mechanisms do better at distributed spatial data mining, which are suitable to be exploited for developing high-level services and distributed knowledge discovery applications on Grids.
