Abstract :
The paper discusses the application of harmonic-balance (HB) techniques to the analysis of optical injection locking of microwave FET oscillators. HB methods are first extended to cover the case of a circuit excited by a time-periodic signal source acting inside the nonlinear device. An empirical model of the illuminated FET is then introduced, and is used within the HB framework to generate a global stability analysis of the locked oscillator.
