Abstract
A code division multiple access (CDMA)-based digital mobile telephone system using interference cancellation (IC) is described. It offers high potential for third-generation systems. High capacity is achieved by actively reducing the most obstructing interference prior to detecting the sought signal. Transmission simulations show that the method performs well in a time-dispersive environment. Even with 15 users, 100% active, and no power control against fast fading, the method performs nearly as well as the single user case
