Abstract
In Europe, satellite broadcasting services such as ASTRA are getting more popular. The services currently use 4-types of communication satellites with 516 channels. It is necessary for large number of channels reception that the antenna has a wide frequency band-width (10.7 GHz to 11.7 GHz) on both vertical and horizontal polarization with high efficiency, and a compact structure for easy installation. This paper presents a small sized, wide band and dual polarized flat antenna for this application, and also proposes a dual circular polarized antenna for DBS reception.
