Abstract :
Due to the recent emergence of ubiquitous computing, a new class of home networks called "ubiquitous home networks" has been introduced. In the ubiquitous home network environments, users can be provided with the services they need, anytime and anywhere through not only common consumer devices but ubiquitous computing devices such as sensor networks, mobile and embedded computers. To provide ubiquitous home network services, service applications need to be interoperable with consumer devices and ubiquitous devices according to the current service contexts and environments. In this paper, we present a novel and effective infrastructure for the ubiquitous home network services called ubiHome using semantic Web services technology.
