Abstract
According to the different optimization objects, peer selection strategy can be divided into three categories: robustness of system and load balance oriented, streaming quality oriented and network topology conglomeration oriented. This thesis describes their basic characters, typical methods and the latest progress, and also simulates the peer selection algorithms by PeerSim to analyze the network stabilization, synchronization, streaming quality and load of network, and finally, presents the existing problems for current algorithms and the research direction in the future.
