Abstract :
The tropical revolving storm MORAKOT(0908) has the great effect on Jiangsu in August. In this paper, we use the observed data of Sheyang observation tower to analyze MORAKOT´s effect on wind energy utilization in Jiangsu province. The results show that the effect is more positive than negative. It is gale with stable wind direction. The full load time is more than 90% for 1.5 MW WTGS. The heavy rain, thunder and lightning may have negative effect that should pay more attention.
