Abstract :
The key features of an advanced technology measurement module (MM) are described. The MM is designed for use in automated power supply test equipment. It comprises three sub-modules: the personal computer sub-module, the analogue front end sub-module, and the signal acquisition sub-module. The measurement specification for the MM covers a wide range of input voltages from 20 mV peak up to 500 V peak and a wide range of input frequencies from DC to 10 MHz. The MM can be operated in single ended or differential input mode. The module can be triggered either externally or internally using flexible triggering modes. The triggers can be further processed using three programmable hardware functions: a glitch detector that prevents glitches on the trigger input triggering the module, a delay that delays the trigger and an event counter that blocks the trigger until a number of triggers have occurred
