Abstract
This paper presents the speed control scheme of VSI fed indirect vector controlled induction motor (IM) drive. SVPWM technique is used to operate the proposed IM drive. The dynamic performance of drive system is compared with Neural Controller and DSP implemented PI controller in speed feedback loop. Decoupling of the stator current into torque and flux producing (d-q) current components model of an induction motor is involved in the indirect vector control. The torque component iqs current of an IM is developed by an intelligent neural controller. Simulation of Neural scheme is compared with experimental results of DSP implemented conventional PI controller.
