Abstract
In this paper, a new type of hall current sensor is presented. Based on the analysis of the working principle of hall current sensor without iron core, a novel design method by adjusting the sensitivity, mounting distance and magnetic sensitive direction of different hall chips is proposed to reduce the adjacent interference and sensitivity to the position variation of the conductor carrying primary current. Considering possible conditions in practical application, one embodiment of the new type of hall current sensor is designed, and further its performance is validated in comparison to the conventional hall current sensor.
