Abstract
This practical course is addressed to postgraduates students in several branches of the French education system. Among the others we remember the students of the electronic DEA, of the electronic component DESS (Universit6 de Rennes I) of the terminal year INSARE (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Rennes) in electronic and communication and, finally, of the master students in microwave devices organized with the ENSTB (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunication de Brest). The 8-16 hour course makes use of 6 working stations for 12 students assisted by one or two teachers. The used software is the MDS (Microwave Design System) by Hewlett Pakard aided by the library of models of the technologic branch F20 of GEC Marconi realized by ENSEA of Cergy Pontoise [1] in the context of the EUROCHIP project.
