Abstract :
An energy-efficient Just-In-Time based dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm exploiting the sleep/doze capability of the VCSEL based ONU is proposed for 10 Gbps EPONs, achieving tangible amounts of energy savings even at low network loads.
