Abstract :
According to the characteristic that the resonant frequency of the resonant cavity shifts with the change of the air permittivity, this paper presents the frequency measurement system based on the microwave cavity wetness measurement system and realizes the accurate measurement of the steam wetness. A new method of frequency measurement is introduced, which is the combination of multi-cycle synchronization and quantization delay. The measurement resolution reaches to be 0.1 Hz, satisfying the requirement of wetness measurement system. The hardware schematic diagram which is realized with CPLD is given. The design has high speed, high precision and wide frequency range measurement with high integration and strong reliability.
