Abstract :
In this paper we study a problem of designing sampled-data controllers with H∞ performance measure. The hold function is assumed to be fixed and given while the sampler is free to be designed. The problem is to obtain the “best sampler” with respect to the H∞ performance criterion for the given system and the hold function. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for existence of controllers that achieve the desired H∞ performance bound and also present state space realization of a controller that achieves the desired performance
