Abstract
This paper deals with cross-coupling in 1-3 piezocomposite arrays. Four array configurations are tested. Measurements of surface displacement are performed with a laser interferometer. Experimental results are given with several graphic representation in order to interpret them in terms of cross-coupling mechanisms:temporal displacement profile, time/space and frequency/space cartographies of displacements and dispersion curves of Lamb waves in piezocomposite arrays. Effects of the fluid medium on each of these characteristics are discussed. Effective width of the excited element is determined and all plate modes involved in the mechanical coupling are identified and referenced
