Abstract :
In this paper, we present a novel way to introduce an automated system to measure grade of service system. In this system, calls are presented to a system that has limited number of resources (servers or trunks). A typical scenario involves having fewer resources than users of the system so probability of blocking is high. If the system is designed properly, users can share limited resources with acceptable amount of blocking. The grade of service (GoS) is a measure of the ability of a user to access a trunked system during the busiest hour, which occurs during the rush data traffic hours. The grade of service (GoS) is a benchmark used to define the desired performance of a particular trunked system by specifying that the user is given access to a channel if a specific number of channels are available in the system. It is the designer´s job to estimate the maximum required capacity and to allocate the proper number of channels in order to meet the GoS. This paper is divided into four sections. The first section includes the introduction to GoS and problem definition of blocking scenarios, second section includes the related work that has been carried out by researchers to address this issue and definitions of various terms used, third section includes the basic methodology behind this system and the final section includes the analysis and conclusion
