Abstract
This paper presents a three steps procedure to evaluate the rule base of a fuzzy inference system (FIS) exploiting the parallelism of DNA chips. The first DNA chip is used to find the membership values for a given set of inputs, then the second DNA chip takes the membership values and shows the active rules as fluorescent rows of dots. Finally, the active rules are numerically evaluated with a conventional computer to produce crisp output values.
