Abstract :
This paper describes the measurement techniques used by ARRL to make field-strength measurements in a number of BPL systems in the US. Those measurements showed BPL systems operating with emissions that ranged from well below to well above FCC emissions limits. ARRL also modeled a number of power-line configurations to determine what radiation patterns and emissions levels would be typical near power-line radiators.
