Abstract
For a class of switched discrete-time linear systems, switching laws are presented to make the switched systems asymptotically stable. The switching times are determined by both time-driven and state-driven mechanisms. In both time-driven and state-driven periods, the Lyapunov-like function is not required to be monotonically decreasing. Thus, these switching laws can reduce the switching frequency in contrast with some existing switching laws. In addition, the effects of the adjusting parameters in the proposed switching laws on the switching frequency are also analyzed in detail. An illustrative example is employed to show the effectiveness of the proposed stabilizing switching laws.
