Abstract :
Source authentication is a research hotspot at the present time. It can be classified as deniable authentication and non-deniable authentication. In recent years, many efficient non-deniable authentication protocols have been proposed. However, much less attention is on the deniable authentication. This paper is mainly focused on the research of deniable authentication. A deniable authentication protocol enables a receiver to identify the true source of a given message, but not to prove the identity of the sender to a third party. This property is very useful for providing secure negotiation over the Internet. To our knowledge, some of the previously proposed protocols are interactive and less efficient, some are non-interactive but failure to resist the forgery attack. So, it is very necessary to design a deniable authentication protocol which is non-interactive, efficient and security. In this paper, we analyze some of the previous schemes and put forward a novel deniable authentication protocol based the generalized EIGamal signature. Finally, we prove the new proposed protocol is more secure compared with the other schemes and it is more efficient to achieve deniable authentication.
