Abstract :
W-band communications belong to the future of multimedia satellite systems. This future passes through a deep and dependable characterization of the W-band propagation channel. The Italian Space Agency (ASI) mission named DAVID is moving true steps towards this challenging direction, thanks to its 75.7/85.5 GHz experiments. With this in mind, an experiment for propagation channel characterization is being conceived and will be described in this paper with preliminary simulation results.
