Abstract :
The automatic detection of outliers during the post-processing of the data collected by multibeam system is considered. A median filtering algorithm based on the mass-gravity model has been presented for the detection process. The stationary condition of the mass-gravity model is used to determine whether the detected point is an outlier. By using iterative method, we use only mormal points to modify the values of the errorneous points. The proposed algorithm is tested and evaluated using synthetic as well as real field multibeam data with the standard median filtering and the distance weighted median filtering. The experimental results obtained show that the proposed algorithm achieves better filtering effect on the multibeam data process.
