Abstract :
A curve approximation method based on cellular automata was produced, and was applied to digital approximation of hydraulic turbine performance data. The computed results of examples indicated that the results, which was made by using the curve approximation approach that was based on Cellular Automata to approximate hydraulic turbine characteristics, was high in calculation precision and able to reflect hydraulic turbine characteristics objectively. It could be used in hydraulic turbine control and optimized operation.
