Abstract :
This paper presents a new method for transmission loss allocation based on the separation of transmission loss caused by load and the loss due to circulating currents between generators. Theoretical basis and derivations of the loss formula are presented using simple systems. Details of application of the proposed method for a power system of real size are presented along with the results of application to a test system.
