Abstract
Nowadays, many Learning Environments provide a tailored and personalized learning experience to learners on the basis of information collected implicitly or explicitly about them. Several studies have been carried out concerning personalization to provide a personalized environment when using a learning management system. However, these systems cannot be adapted to all kind of learners regardless of the degree of customization. Questions arise: Can the learner compose his own curriculum? Can he set his personal learning objectives? Can he take autonomously control of his learning? In this situation the concept of personalized learning environment is not enough, but rather the concept of personal learning environment that currently growing interest.
