Abstract :
This work deals with the problem of vibration attenuation for a bridge structure subjected to a specific kind of uncertain excitation due to a temporary coupling of the bridge structure with an unknown dynamical system which is represented by a crossing vehicle. Semiactive vibration control strategy is applied by using magnetorhelogical (MR) dampers. A robust controller is designed using only the measurable state vector of the bridge structure. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified by the numerical simulation.
