Abstract
This paper describes the construction of an application ontology for the legal domain. This ontology covering the semantic content of jurisprudence decisions can be deployed at several levels in our system for decisions research: improve the results of decision structuring, facilitate queries´ formulation when accessing the system and finally optimize the search of decisions. We begin by presenting the methodology we have adopted for the ontology construction from textual jurisprudence decisions. We concentrate on the conceptualization stage by presenting our formal approach based on top level ontology as DOLCE and a core legal ontology. Then we will detail the deployment of the ontology at JDSM, the methodology of decision structuring decision that we have proposed..
