  • Abstract
A planar ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna with dual band-notched characteristics is proposed. With the broad trapeziform slot at the bottom of radiating patch and inverse trapeziform shaped feeded metal stub, good impedance match can be achieved. Two I-shaped and one inverse E-shaped metal stubs are embedded into the broad slot, making band-notched characteristics in the frequency range between3.0 to 3.9 GHz and 5 to 6 GHz. The measured results show that the characteristic of the antenna within the notched band are both low enough to realize the purpose of band rejection.
