Abstract :
A novel class of fast algorithms for optimal linear quadratic control design of time-invariant systems is presented. It exhibits O(Nn) complexity, where n is the system order and N is the control horizon, thus outperforming existing algorithms of O(Nn2) complexity. Moreover, it is capable of efficiently solving most predictive control problems, thus allowing the speedup of online control design in adaptive predictive control
