Abstract
Concept mapping has been applied in several fields, including curriculum development, learning, and assessment. The validity of concept mapping process has been proven by many empirical studies. The present paper describes a concept map based system that has been conceived for learners´ knowledge assessment in process-oriented short and open answers questions SOAQs´ evaluation. The presentation of the system focuses on its architecture on terms of modules, their interactions and their functions. We have three modules: the learner module, the tutor module and the administrator module.
