Abstract :
Ever since the inception of Internet, communication has taken a different dimension. As many other communication media are dieing off, more are being explored. In this research work, we were able to explicitly explain and compare communications in Network on Chip (NoC), Local Area Network (LAN) and the Internet. We also looked at the differences and similarities of these different networks based on quality of service, OSI model, fault tolerance, network architecture and routing algorithms.
