A fog-removing treatment based on Gaussian Filtering

Abstract :
According to retinex theory and exponential relationship between the degradation of the image and the depths of the scene points, it puts forward a fog-removing treatment based on Gaussian Filtering. Firstly, change the image from time domain to frequency domain by Fourier transformation, secondly, as in the image fog mainly distribute in the lower frequency part, remove the lower frequency part of the damaged image through Gaussian Filtering. The simulation results shows that this algorithm can effectively improve the visual effect scene under the condition of mist.
