Abstract
This papers reports the momentum distribution of proton fragments created in the dissociative ionization process of water molecules that are exposed to an intense ultrashort laser field as a function of the laser pulse duration (6 - 20 fs). When the pulse duration is 6 fs, we investigated the dependence of the momentum distribution on carrier-envelope phase (CEP) of the incident laser field. From the analysis of the time-of- flight mass spectrum, we discuss the dissociation processes of water molecules in an intense ultrafast laser field.
