Abstract
Ultrasound contrast agents are modeled as spherical elastic shells whose scattering characteristics are expressed using a modal series solution. Novel multipole resonance responses in the low frequency regime are found for agents with shells greater than 25 nm. The dipole peaks appear to be associated with a specific type of Lamb wave unique to curved shells. The peaks grow and shrink for various material and shell thickness parameters
