Research on the designing of the interpretation panel of geoparks

Geopark is a plan to promote the protection and sustainable development of geological heritage, which is supported by UNESCO. In order to achieve this function of popular science education, it is necessary to build a set of interpretation system with prominent feature of advanced, scientific and perfect popular science education. This paper defines the interpretation system of geoparks, and studied the designing principles and methods of interpretation panel, including the information, content and appearance. It would provide a scientific basis for geoparks to set up some good interpretation panels.
